The Door Buddy strap works a lot like an extended door latch. One of my clients uses it to keep her dogs out of the “cat room” and away from the litter boxes. The cats can come and go as they please, and the strap stops the door from closing accidentally—or on purpose if the dog is feeling sneaky.
As a pet sitter, I love that my client gives her cats their own space where they can eat, relax, and use the litter box without being bothered by their canine siblings. It also keeps the room open enough for fresh air to flow and makes it easy for us humans to get in and out quickly by simply unhooking the strap.
